Accessibility statement
KAFS North America wants everyone who needs to know which insurers are licensed in a market to be able to find out here, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

Conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, which is the standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act, EN 301 549 and most national laws. This statement is based on our own evaluation with automated tools (axe, Lighthouse) and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks. The site has not yet been audited by an independent third party.
What we have done
- Every fact shown on the interactive world map is also available as a text link and in sortable tables, so the map is a convenience, never the only route.
- Map countries are real links with names; tables use proper header cells; every page has one heading level 1, landmarks for navigation, main content and footer, and a "skip to content" link.
- Everything can be operated with a keyboard alone. Focus is always visible, and the cookie banner does not cover the focused element.
- Colour is never the only carrier of meaning: verification and classification badges carry text, and all four colour themes (including two dark themes) meet AA contrast for text and controls.
- Animation respects the operating-system "reduce motion" setting; there is no autoplaying media.
- Text can be resized to 200% and the layout adapts from 320 px wide upwards.
Known limitations
- Wide data tables scroll horizontally on small screens. Every column is still reachable, but it takes more effort than we would like; a per-column filter is planned.
- The map is drawn as an SVG. On touch devices the hover tooltip is not shown; tap or use the table below the map instead.
- Sponsored placements and, where present, advertising are supplied by third parties and may not meet the same standard. They are always labelled and never contain directory data.
- Regulator websites and company websites we link to are outside our control.
Tell us about a barrier
If you cannot access something, or you find content that does not work with your assistive technology, email sales@insurers.global with the page address and what happened. We aim to reply within five working days and to fix confirmed barriers in the next release. If you need any part of the directory in another format, say so and we will provide it; the underlying data is also available as plain JSON from the API.
Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the accessibility enforcement body in your country. In the European Union each member state names one under the European Accessibility Act; in the United States the Department of Justice enforces the ADA.
