Privacy and cookie policy
Short version: the directory works with no cookies at all. Advertising and analytics that do set cookies run only after you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time.

What we collect
We do not require accounts and we do not collect names, emails or payment details on this site. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and request logs to serve and protect the site; those logs are retained for a short period for security purposes. Fonts, scripts and images are served from this domain, so simply reading the directory sends no request to any third party.
Cookieless analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies, fingerprinting or cross-site tracking. It tells us which pages are read and from which countries, in aggregate.
Advertising and optional analytics
To fund the free service we may show advertising through Google AdSense. These services set cookies and may use identifiers to show relevant advertising. They load only after you choose Accept in the cookie banner. If you choose Essential only, no advertising or analytics cookies are set and the directory works exactly the same. Google’s use of data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where Google tags are used they run under Google Consent Mode, so no advertising or analytics identifier is stored until you accept.
Your preferences
Your colour theme and cookie choice are stored in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device and you can clear them from your browser settings.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our briefing, your email address is stored by our newsletter provider solely to send it. Subscriptions are confirmed by email (double opt-in) and every email contains an unsubscribe link.
Service providers
The following organisations process data on our behalf. None of them may use it for their own purposes beyond what their own policies, linked here, describe.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, content delivery, security, cookieless analytics): request logs and IP addresses. Privacy policy.
- Google LLC (advertising), only after you accept cookies. Privacy policy.
- Newsletter provider, only if you subscribe: your email address and the fact that you subscribed. The provider is named on the subscription confirmation.
Children
The directory is a professional reference and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Data about companies
The directory contains information about licensed legal entities, drawn from public regulator registers and market sources. It does not contain personal data about individuals. If you represent a listed entity and believe a record is wrong, see the about page for how to request a correction.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion and objection under laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA or Kenya’s Data Protection Act. Contact sales@insurers.global and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new "last updated" date.
